UN Convention on Disability rights
The EHRC has published a guide on the convention (which the UK has signed up to). It outlines disabled people’s rights.
Of particular interest is: Article 30 Participation in cultural life, recreation, leisure and sport.
The Equality Act 2010
The Equality Act came into force on 01 October 2010.
The Act replaces the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), and creates a piece of anti-discrimination legislation across eight ‘protected characteristics’. Read more on the Skill factsheet
